    Leverage the passion for competitive soccer to promote leadership development, college pathways and career opportunities for low income and disadvantaged youth

    Dragons FC is an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that is dedicated to fostering a love of the beautiful game and helping our players develop to the fullest of their potential.

    Soccer Practices During Social Distancing Times

    DragonsFC is hoping everyone is safe and healthy during this break. As we get settled into our new normal for the next few weeks we wanted to provide our weekly training program. 

    We recommend that each player attempt daily to exercise and train.  Each training will consist of: 

    Monday/Wednesday/Friday: Warm-ups and Ball Mastery Drills


    Tuesday/Thursday: Core Training and/or Cardio Training

     

     

    Week #1: March 23 to 27 Training

    WARM UP WEEK #1 (approx 10 min)

    YOU WILL NEED:
    5 CONES
    BALL
    JUMP ROPE

    REPEAT MON/WED/FRI

    COACHING POINTS

    • LIFT KNEES HIGH
    • USE ARMS 
    • FOR EVERY TIME YOU TOUCH THE CONE, DO 5 PUSH-UPS
    • PUSH YOURSELF FOR 30 SEC, REST 30 SEC

    TECHNICAL WEEK #1 (approx 20 min)

    YOU WILL NEED:
    6 CONES
    BALL
     

    REPEAT MON/WED/FRI

    COACHING POINTS

    • REPEAT EACH TECHNICAL DRILL 3 X
    • MAKE SURE YOU GO AROUND EACH CONE
    • FOCUS ON TECHNIQUE BEFORE FOCUSING ON SPEED
    • KEEP TIGHT AROUND EACH CONE

    DRIBBLING WEEK #1 (approx 20 min)

    YOU WILL NEED:
    6 CONES
    BALL
     

    REPEAT MON/WED/FRI

    COACHING POINTS

    • REPEAT EACH DRIBBLING DRILL 5 X (UP AND DOWN THE CONES COUNT AS 1 TIME)
    • FOCUS ON HOW MANY TOUCHES EACH DRILL REQUIRES
    • FOCUS ON TECHNIQUE BEFORE FOCUSING ON SPEED
    • KEEP TIGHT AROUND CONES

    CONDITIONING WEEK #1 (approx 30 min)

    YOU WILL NEED:
    YOUTUBE ACCESS
    BALL
    1. 2K BURST
    2. 10 MIN CARDIO
